Dark Odyssey: Travel

The next part of my Winter Fire story involves travel. We live about a 3 hour drive from Baltimore. We left Friday morning to drive to the hotel and weren't planning on coming home until Monday afternoon. 

Up until this point, i have only ever been in "public" as sierra once. my plan for this weekend was to get dressed and made up Friday morning before we left and travel as sierra. Which is exactly what i did! But with a catch... i packed NO male clothing with me!

i would travel there as sierra, i would spend ALL weekend as sierra, and i would travel home as sierra! 4 days as my feminine self, without a "safty net" or any option to be anything other than sierra.

When i dress in public, i don't tend to dress to draw attention to myself. Friday, for travel, i wore jeans, a black shirt with a sweater over, and low heeled ankle boots. It was feminine, but i dressed to blend in. 

We needed to make a stop on the trip there to return a purchase at a dept store. i was given the option to wait in the car, but i thought "fk it, i'm going in". This was another first. First i was in public so close to home, and first i was in public during the daylight hours. Needless to say i was crazy nervous. i like to think we just looked like a couple of girlfriends shopping.

About a half hour before we arrived, we needed to make another stop. Gas station and bathroom break! It was fairly busy, but again, no issues. We walked in, went to the ladies room, and left. Now, i felt like every eye was on me, but i wasn't looking around. i didn't hear any comments. It was a nice confidence booster!

Once we arrived at the hotel was a different story. I didn't the drab and dress fab the rest of the weekend! But that's a story you'll have to wait for.
